PA UC Money Network card never arrived - need phone number to resolve weekly payment issue

Really stressed out right now! I'm supposed to file my weekly PA UC claim this Sunday, but I still haven't received my Money Network card after 3 weeks. I FINALLY got through to someone at unemployment yesterday (after 47 redials!!) and the lady told me my payment is processing this week but will go to the card I don't have yet. She said I need to call the company that issues the cards directly, but didn't give me their number and now I can't find it anywhere online. She mentioned something about "it's not really a card anymore" whatever that means?? Does anyone have the phone number for Money Network or know what she meant about it not being a card? I'm worried my benefits will just disappear if I can't access them!

The Money Network customer service number is 888-233-5916. Call them and explain your situation - they can tell you the status of your card shipment and rush a replacement if needed. When the rep said "it's not really a card anymore," she probably meant that PA UC has been transitioning to direct deposit as the preferred payment method, but they still use Money Network for those who don't set up direct deposit. You can also check if your payment method can be changed to direct deposit through your dashboard if you'd prefer that going forward.

THANK YOU!!! I'll call them right now. Do you know their hours? And can I switch to direct deposit even though they already processed this week's payment to the card?

Omg I had this EXACT same issue last month!! So frustrating!!! I ended up having to wait like 3 weeks for the stupid card and my rent was late. They should really make this clearer when you first apply!!

I just double-checked and it definitely says "Payment Method: Debit Card" on my dashboard. I wish I'd chosen direct deposit now!

The Money Network customer service line (888-233-5916) has specific hours: Monday-Friday 8am-9pm EST and Saturday 8am-4pm EST. They're closed Sundays. Regarding your second question - yes, you can switch to direct deposit even though this payment is going to the card. Log into your PA UC dashboard, go to "Payment Information" and select "Change Payment Method." It will take effect for your next payment cycle. When you call Money Network, specifically ask them to expedite a replacement card if your original one was lost in the mail. They can typically get one to you within 3-5 business days with expedited shipping, though they may charge a small fee for this service.

This is super helpful, thank you! I just called and they confirmed my card was mailed 12 days ago but they're sending a replacement with expedited shipping. Should be here by Tuesday they said. And I switched my payment method to direct deposit for future weeks!

The whole PA UC system is GARBAGE!!!! I had the EXACT same problem back in January and do you know what they told me? That I should have "anticipated" needing a new card and called BEFORE my first payment was processed. HOW WOULD I KNOW THAT??? Nobody tells you ANYTHING when you apply!!! Then I had to wait 10 business days for the card while my bills piled up and my landlord threatened eviction. The state doesn't care at ALL about us!!!!!

I wasted 3 days trying to contact PA UC about my missing card last month before discovering Claimyr (claimyr.com). It connected me to an agent in 20 minutes instead of endless busy signals. The agent fixed my address in the system (turns out they had it wrong) and arranged for a new card. Saved me so much frustration! They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2

Is this actually legit? Seems kinda sketchy to pay someone just to talk to unemployment...

It's legit - they basically keep calling UC for you until they get through, then connect you. Saved me hours of redial hell. Especially helpful if you need to talk to an actual agent about complex issues like address changes or payment problems that can't be fixed online.

Did u check ur mail carefully? My card came in a SUPER plain envelope that looked like junk mail and I almost threw it away! It doesn't say PA unemployment anywhere on the outside!

I've been checking EVERYTHING in my mail for weeks! Nothing that looks like it could be a card. But Money Network confirmed they're sending a replacement so hopefully that solves it.

Something else to consider - once you receive your card, you can transfer the funds to your personal bank account through the Money Network mobile app or website. You don't have to use the physical card for purchases if you don't want to. Many people don't realize this option exists.

Oh that's good to know! I'll probably just do that when the card arrives and then future payments will go straight to my bank account now that I've set up direct deposit. Thanks again for all your help!

Just wanted to add that if anyone else runs into this issue, you can also check the status of your Money Network card by calling their automated system at 888-233-5916 and selecting the option to check card status without speaking to a rep. It'll tell you when it was mailed and the tracking info. Also, make sure your address is correct in your PA UC dashboard under "Personal Information" - I've seen people have issues because they moved and forgot to update it there. The card gets sent to whatever address is on file in the system, not necessarily your mailing address elsewhere.

This is really helpful info! I didn't know about the automated system option. Quick question - when you say "tracking info," does Money Network actually provide USPS tracking numbers for the cards, or is it just status updates like "mailed" vs "delivered"? I'm dealing with mail delivery issues at my apartment complex so an actual tracking number would be super useful.
