How long after PA UC determination letter until payment hits Money Network card?
So I just got my financial determination letter in the mail yesterday (finally!) after waiting almost 3 weeks since filing my initial claim. The letter says I qualified for $475/week, which is a huge relief. But now I'm wondering how long it typically takes for the first payment to actually show up on my Money Network card? I've filed 2 weekly claims already while waiting for the determination. My dashboard still shows "pending payment" status. Anyone gone through this recently? Just trying to figure out when I can expect to see the money...

•Seriously? That fast? I've been checking my dashboard obsessively and it still says pending. Maybe I'm missing something...

In my experience, it typically takes 2-3 business days after receiving your financial determination letter for the payments to process, provided there are no open issues on your claim. However, since you mentioned you've already filed two weekly claims while waiting for determination, those should process together once your claim is fully activated. A few things to check: 1. Make sure your Money Network card is properly activated 2. Verify there are no open issues on your dashboard under the "Claim Summary" section 3. Confirm your weekly certifications show as "Filed" not just "In Progress" If by Friday you still don't see payment, there might be something else going on worth investigating.

•Thanks for the detailed response! I definitely activated my card right away. I just double-checked and don't see any open issues listed, and my certifications show as "Filed" not "In Progress." I guess I'll give it till Friday as you suggested before I start to worry.

DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH!!!! I got my determination letter on Feb 12th and STILL havent seen a PENNY on my card! The system is completely BROKEN and nobody at the UC office answers the phones EVER. I've called 46 times in the last 2 weeks!!!! They probably lost your paperwork like they did mine and now you'll have to start the whole process over again!!! Been waiting 5 weeks total now and about to lose my apartment!!!!!

•I had the same problem for weeks! Turns out there was an "identity verification issue" that nobody told me about and wasn't showing on my dashboard. Have you tried checking the correspondence section to see if they sent you any notices? Sometimes the system doesn't update the main dashboard correctly.

After I got my financial determination letter, my first payment took exactly 4 business days to show up on my Money Network card. This was last month, so pretty recent experience. The important thing is that your weekly claims show as "Filed" and not "In Progress" as someone else mentioned. One thing that trips people up is that sometimes there are hidden issues not clearly displayed on the dashboard. If by next Monday you still don't see payment, I'd recommend trying to reach someone at UC. I used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an actual person after trying for days on my own and getting constant busy signals. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. The agent I spoke with was able to see an issue that wasn't showing on my dashboard and resolved it while I was on the phone. Hope yours comes through soon!

•Thanks for the tip about Claimyr! I'll definitely keep that in mind if I run into problems. It's reassuring to hear a recent experience with a 4-day timeline. That seems reasonable. I'll try to be patient until next week before I start to panic.

My journey with PA UC was a bit different than what most people are saying here. I got my financial determination letter on January 18th, but then didn't see any money until February 2nd - so about 15 days later! What happened was they had put an "investigation hold" on my account because my former employer contested something (I later found out). The frustrating thing was this hold wasn't visible anywhere on my dashboard. The money just suddenly appeared on my card one day. No notification, no update, nothing. The system is really unpredictable sometimes. If you're worried about bills coming due, you might want to start trying to reach someone now rather than waiting.

•Wow, 15 days is a long time to wait! That's exactly what I'm worried about - some hidden hold that I can't see. My separation was pretty straightforward (company downsizing), but who knows if there's something else going on behind the scenes. I'll give it a few more days and then try to reach someone if nothing changes.

Just wanted to ask - did you file your biweekly claim as well? That's different from the initial application. The determination letter approves you for benefits, but you still need to file biweekly to get the money. When I first applied I didn't realize there were two different processes and got really confused why no money was showing up lol

•Yes, I've filed two weekly claims already! That's why I'm a bit confused about the delay. The system accepted my weekly claims, but the payment is still pending. I know they're different processes - it's just the waiting game that's driving me crazy!

Just checking back - any update on your payment situation? Did it come through yet?

•Yes! The money finally showed up this morning - it took exactly 5 business days from receiving the determination letter. Thanks everyone for the help and for keeping me sane during the wait! I guess sometimes the system just takes its time.
