PA UC payments issued Saturday - when will Money Network card receive deposits?
Hi everyone, I've been struggling with my PA unemployment claim for weeks and FINALLY saw that they issued my payments on Saturday (thank goodness!). I just got my new Money Network debit card in the mail yesterday. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the funds to actually hit the card after they've been issued? The online portal just says 'payment issued' but doesn't give any timeline. I've got bills due next week and I'm getting anxious about when I can actually access the money. Thanks for any help!

It usually takes 2-3 business days after the payment is issued for it to show up on your Money Network card. So if they were issued Saturday, you'll probably see them Tuesday or Wednesday. There's also a separate Money Network app you can download to track your deposits instead of just checking the UC portal.

•Thank you! I'll download the app right now. Fingers crossed it shows up by Wednesday - my landlord is already getting impatient.

In my experience, payments issued on weekends don't actually start processing until Monday morning. So if it was issued Saturday, the 2-3 business day count starts Monday. I'd expect it Thursday at the latest. You can call the number on the back of your Money Network card to check if there are pending deposits that haven't posted yet.

•This is exactly right. The PA UC system might say 'issued' on Saturday but the actual bank processing doesn't start till Monday. Weekends don't count as business days for electronic transfers.

I got my first payment in January and the timeline was RIDICULOUS. It took almost a week after it said 'issued' before I could actually use the money!! The whole system is designed to make us suffer I swear. Have you activated your card yet? That might be causing delays to.

•The activation shouldn't affect the deposit timeline, but it's definitely required before you can use the funds. The delay is usually just the standard ACH transfer time between systems. If it's been more than 3 business days after issuance date, that's when you should start investigating potential problems.

•Did you know you can set up direct deposit instead of using the Money Network card? That's what I did after my first payment - it usually processes 1 day faster than the card deposit in my experience. You can change it in your dashboard under payment methods.

If you're in a really tight spot and need to speak with someone at PA UC about your payment status, I'd recommend using Claimyr (claimyr.com). I was in a similar situation last month - payment said issued but wasn't showing up after 4 days. I tried calling for days with no luck, then used their service and got through to an agent in about 20 minutes who confirmed my payment was actually pending due to a system flag. They have a video demo of how it works here: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2

•I second this recommendation. The Money Network card system and UC payment system don't always communicate perfectly, and sometimes an agent needs to manually verify things. It's nearly impossible to get through on your own these days.

When my payments were issued on a Friday last month, they hit my Money Network card the following Tuesday. Seems like the standard timeline is 2-3 business days, but depends on if there are any holidays or system issues. Have you checked if there are any UC system maintenance alerts that might cause delays?

•I haven't seen any maintenance alerts, but that's a good thing to check. I'll keep an eye on the Money Network app for the next few days. Hoping to see something by midweek!

•Yes! Their app is terrible. I finally switched to direct deposit to my bank account because I got tired of dealing with Money Network's constant issues. The transfer to your personal bank is so much more reliable.

Update us when you get your payment! I'm curious if weekend processing times have improved since I was on UC last year.

•Will do! Just checked again this morning and still nothing yet. Day 3 since they were issued... getting nervous.

•Don't panic yet! Day 3 is still within the normal range, especially since it was issued on a weekend. I had a similar situation last fall - payment issued on Sunday, didn't hit my card until Thursday. The banking systems are just slow with weekend processing. If you don't see anything by Thursday, that's when I'd start making calls.

•@Ella rollingthunder87 Hang in there! I just went through this exact same situation two weeks ago. My payment was issued on a Saturday and I was checking the Money Network app obsessively every few hours. It finally showed up Wednesday afternoon around 3pm. The weekend really does slow things down because the ACH processing doesn t'start until Monday morning. If it helps ease your anxiety, you can also call the automated Money Network line the (number on the back of your card and) it will tell you if there are any pending deposits even before they show up in the app.
