THE TRACKER IS A JOKE!!!! Been on unemployment 3 times in PA and EVERY SINGLE TIME they use this excuse. It's just what they say when they don't want to deal with your claim. I was told I was "in the tracker" for 6 WEEKS last time!!! The system is BROKEN and they know it!!
same here man... was told tracker this tracker that and then my claim just expired before anyone ever looked at it. had to start all over again. PA UC is the absolute worst
While I understand your frustration, the tracker system itself isn't the problem - it's the understaffing and overwhelming case volumes that cause these delays. The task management system is actually designed to ensure claims don't slip through the cracks, but when there aren't enough examiners to handle the volume, backlogs develop. If your claim has been in the queue for more than 3 weeks, I recommend contacting your state representative as they can often help expedite matters.
Final update: My claim finally processed today! Took exactly 12 business days after being put in "the tracker." I did end up using Claimyr to reach someone yesterday, and they told me my claim had been assigned to an examiner but was waiting on final approval. Guess that nudge helped because this morning everything switched to paid status and my payment is scheduled for tomorrow. So relieved! Thanks everyone for your help and advice.
Update us when you get this resolved! I'm dealing with a similar issue (though not with a money order) and it helps to hear how others navigate this maze of a system.
Thanks everyone for your responses! I'm feeling more optimistic now, though still a bit nervous. Just to update - I checked my dashboard this morning and it still shows the appeal as "pending" with no payments released yet. I'll definitely keep filing my weekly claims. Does anyone know how long it typically takes for the referee's decision to show up in the system after the hearing?
In my experience, you'll get the decision letter in the mail before anything changes in the system. It took about 5-7 days for me to get the letter, and then my online dashboard updated about 2 days after that. Once it updates, the payments usually process within 48 hours if you've been filing consistently.
The most direct way to update your banking information is through the Treasury Direct Deposit Enrollment form (PWOA-2). Here's the exact process: 1. Download the form from www.patreasury.gov/ucpayments 2. Complete all fields (use ink, not pencil) 3. You must include a voided check or bank letter verifying your account details 4. Mail to: PA Treasury, 651 Boas Street, Room 400, Harrisburg, PA 17121 Alternatively, you can use the Treasury Direct portal at https://direct.patreasury.gov but you'll need to create an account first. Processing time is typically 7-10 business days from receipt of your documents.
This is super helpful but just a small correction - the website is actually www.patreasury.gov/uc-payments (with a hyphen). I just checked it today.
Yes! I ended up using the Claimyr service to get through to a real person at PA UC. The agent was able to verify my identity and update my banking info while I was on the phone. My payment should hit my new account next week. The Treasury form is also an option but takes longer.

Congrats on getting through! Quick question - did they mention anything about your back weeks? Like, did you have to do anything special to claim those? I'm in week 3 of waiting and getting worried.

•The supervisor said all my weekly claims that I'd been filing would be processed together in one lump sum since they were all filed on time. So make sure you keep filing every week even while you're waiting for approval! I filed 5 weeks worth while waiting, and the system shows they're all being paid together now.

Just for future reference, for anyone reading this thread - when your claim is stuck in review, here's what you should do: 1. Keep filing your weekly claims on time, every week 2. Document ALL work search activities (PA requires at least 3 per week now) 3. Call the UC service center as early as possible (right at 8am) 4. If you're facing financial hardship (eviction, utility shutoff, etc.), specifically ask for a hardship review 5. If the first rep can't help, politely ask to speak with a supervisor 6. Check your dashboard daily for updates 7. Make sure your contact info is current in the system The system is frustrating but persistence pays off eventually.

•This is really helpful! I wish I'd known to specifically ask for a hardship review earlier - might have saved me a few weeks of stress.
