UPDATE: Finally got my issue fixed! Called the Treasury Dept (took 3 attempts to get through) and they said my new card wasn't properly linked to my claim. They fixed it on their end and said my next payment will go to the new card, but I'd need to call Money Network directly to transfer any pending payments. Called them and after 45 mins on hold they were able to transfer my funds. Money showed up on my new card about 4 hours later! Thanks everyone for your help!
Just a heads up for anyone else with this issue - I've heard that starting in August 2025, PA UC is finally updating their system to automatically transfer balances to replacement cards. Too late for many of us, but at least they're fixing it eventually!
Just to update with some additional clarification: The approval with a pending appeal period is standard procedure. If your former employer doesn't respond by 6/20, the system should automatically release your payment within 3-5 business days after that date. On rare occasions, employers will appeal old claims if they think there's a mistake. However, since you only claimed 4 weeks and it's been 3 years, it's unlikely your former employer will bother. They'd have to demonstrate you weren't eligible at that time, which would require them to dig up old records and attend a hearing. If you want peace of mind, check both your payment status and your message center regularly after 6/20.
Just make sure your banking info is updated in the system if it's changed since 2022! I had a similar situation and my payment went to a closed account, which caused another whole month of delays to get it straightened out.
Just a tip - when your new payments do start, remember they might be a different amount than your old claim. My new benefit year amount dropped by almost $65/week because I had worked less in the base year. The calculator on the PA UC site was pretty accurate though if you want to estimate it.
One last thing - if your financial situation becomes dire during this gap, contact 211 (just dial 211 on your phone). They can connect you with emergency assistance programs in your area. Many counties have emergency rental assistance, utility payment help, and other crisis services specifically for situations like this. Don't wait until you're facing eviction or utility shutoff to reach out for help.
Quick update on the IDme situation - if your son gets through the verification process, make sure he also goes back to his PA UC dashboard and clicks the "Allow" button to connect IDme to his unemployment account. A lot of people miss this step and then wonder why their account is still locked even after successful verification. Also, after verification is complete, there can be a 24-48 hour delay before the system updates and allows weekly filing again.
I didn't know about the "Allow" button! Thank you for mentioning that. After trying all morning, we finally got through to someone using that Claimyr service you recommended. They confirmed everything you said about the rolling verification schedule and placed a 7-day hold on his account so he can file this week's claim while we sort out the IDme issues. Such a relief!
This might sound random but check if your son's driver's license or ID is expired. My hubby had this EXACT same problem and it turned out his license had expired the month before and IDme wouldn't verify him until he renewed it and uploaded the new one.

UPDATE: Just wanted to check back - did your funds appear on the card yet? Friday would be the typical timeframe for a Tuesday payment processing.

•Glad it worked out! Make sure you keep filing your weekly claims on time or they'll stop sending payments.
