It's ridiculous how they constantly change these requirements without properly notifying people! I wish they would just UPDATE THEIR WEBSITE with clear instructions instead of making us all panic and figure it out through trial and error. My claim was under review for the same reason but just got approved today (after 9 days of stress and checking the portal constantly). This is my livelihood they're messing with!!!
I just checked the official PA UC website to make sure I had accurate information. Here's what it says about seasonal workers: "Claimants with a definite recall date within 12 weeks from their last day of work may be exempt from work search requirements." The key word is "may" - they evaluate each case. Make sure your employer has actually registered your recall date with the UC system, not just told you verbally. That might be why some people are having their claims reviewed while others aren't.
To summarize the correct information: 1. The payment date shown in your portal (5/22) is when the payment is processed by PA UC 2. For Money Network cards, funds typically appear 1 business day after the payment date 3. Most users report seeing deposits in the morning hours 4. You can track deposits by using the Money Network mobile app 5. If your payment doesn't appear within 2 business days of the payment date, you should contact PA UC Hope this helps clarify things!
One additional tip: whenever you're dealing with backpay, make sure you have very clear documentation of your original claim dates, confirmation numbers, and any correspondence. I had success getting my backpay by creating a simple timeline document that showed exactly when I filed, when I was eligible, and why I was owed the money. Having this ready when I finally got through to a UC agent made the process much smoother since they could immediately understand my case.
Thank you! That's a huge relief. I used Claimyr this morning and am currently waiting for a callback. Will update on how it goes for anyone else who runs into this same problem.
UPDATE: Finally got through to someone! The rep said this was caused by me answering a job search question differently than previous weeks. Apparently the system flagged it as a potential issue but the rep said it wasn't actually a problem. She removed the flag on her end and helped me file my weekly claim right away over the phone. Payment should be processed normally! Thanks everyone for your help and advice!

I had a somewhat similar situation where I was receiving WC benefits and tried to claim UC from a previous employer. Be extremely careful here - there are specific rules about what you need to report. If your WC is for total disability, then PA UC will likely deny benefits because you're not able to work. You mentioned you got hurt at your first job - are you still technically employed there but just collecting WC? If so, you'll need to explain that you're collecting WC from an employer you still work for (but are on leave from), while claiming UC from a different employer you no longer work for. I strongly recommend getting a formal determination from UC rather than guessing. Be 100% honest about your WC status when you apply. In my case, I was initially denied but was able to appeal and eventually received benefits.

•Quick question - when u appealed, did u have to attend a hearing? I'm going thru something similar and just got a hearing notice in the mail and im freaking out about it.

•Good question. If you're on partial disability through Workers' Comp and are medically cleared for specific types of work, you can limit your work search to jobs within your medical restrictions. You'd still need to complete and document your work search activities each week (applying to jobs, attending interviews, etc.) but only for positions you're physically capable of performing. The PA UC system allows for this type of limitation as long as it's medically documented.
