UPDATE: For anyone else checking this thread with the same issue - my payment hit my Money Network card this morning, only one day later than usual. So it was just a processing delay like everyone suggested!
my bank always shows pending deposits like a day before they actually hit my account. maybe check if u have any pending transactions?
Just wanted to give you a heads up that when the card DOES arrive, you have to activate it immediately!! I made the mistake of waiting a couple days to activate mine because I was busy, and it triggered some kind of security protocol where I had to verify my identity AGAIN. Such a headache! Also make sure to create your Money Network online account right away so you can track your balance and payments.
UPDATE: I decided to try that Claimyr service someone mentioned and actually got through to a UC agent! The agent confirmed my card was mailed on January 7th (not the 4th when I was approved). She said there was a backlog of card requests and that's why it took a few extra days to actually send it. According to her, I should receive it by tomorrow or Friday at the latest. She also helped me set up direct deposit for future payments so I won't have to deal with this card stress again! Thanks everyone for your help!
So I actually did win my appeal! What worked for me was I had some text messages with my supervisor about my last day and a coworker who testified for me. Also I wrote down a timeline of everything that happened with as many specific dates as I could remember. The judge said my testimony was more consistent than my employers. They kept changing their story about why I was fired and it made them look bad. Just tell your friend to be super prepared and answer questions honestly and directly.
my uncle works at the unemployment office lol and he says most employers don't even show up to these hearings. if they don't show up ur friend automaticly wins
This isn't accurate. If the employer doesn't show up, it doesn't guarantee an automatic win. The referee will still review the case file and make a determination based on available evidence. While it certainly helps if the employer isn't there to present their side, your friend still needs to be prepared to explain why she was eligible for benefits.

I just checked and mine finally came through too! That was stressful. I wish they'd put a notice on the website or something when these delays happen instead of leaving everyone panicking and jamming up the phone lines.

•They'll NEVER do that because they don't care about us. If they actually communicated about delays, they might have to ADMIT there are problems with their precious system. I've been dealing with these random delays for almost 2 years and not ONCE have they ever posted any kind of notice. We're just supposed to sit here and stress while they take their sweet time with OUR MONEY.

•Your brother is correct. The ACH (Automated Clearing House) system that processes direct deposits operates in batches. Weather events, high volume processing days, and technical issues can all cause delays. The PA Treasury processes the payments once your UC claim is approved, then it goes through the ACH system before hitting your bank. Delays can happen at any stage, but as long as your payment shows 'issued' in the portal, it's usually just a matter of waiting.
