Yes keep trying! It's super annoying but eventually you'll get through. I found that calling mid-morning worked better than first thing in the morning.

I can only speak from my experience, but it worked for me! Got connected to a real person within about 40 minutes instead of days of trying myself. Totally worth it.

Hmm I've been burned by so many of these 'services' before... what makes this different? The unemployment phone system is basicaly Fort Knox

They actually just keep calling for you and then alert you when they get a real person. That's it - simple but effective. My claim was resolved the same day after weeks of trying.

Its literally designed to be difficult so people give up. Less claims = less money they have to pay out 💯

I called around mid-day (about 9:30am). I tried earlier last week and couldnt get through at all. Maybe try different times?

It wasn't too bad actually. They just verified my identity, asked about my last employer and why I was no longer working there. Pretty basic stuff that was already on my online application.

Not dumb at all! Go to nyassembly.gov and enter your address in the 'find my representative' section. Then just email their office explaining your situation.

Keep trying! It took me like 30+ attempts even with this path. It's all about timing and luck unfortunately.

I get the skepticism, but they don't "fix" anything - they just automate the painful part of calling repeatedly. Saved me literal days of my life on hold.

So I was about to throw my phone after 3 hours on hold when I tried this. Actually got through! The wait time was still long but at least I didn't have to sit there redialing myself.

Mine was pretty quick - like 10-15 minutes. But the specialist did mention it could take up to 24 hours in some cases. Maybe check again tomorrow?

No catch, just gotta be persistent. I hit 100+ calls last month before getting through. Try different times of day if you can.

Update: Finally got through after attempt #103 (yes I counted). This system is beyond broken.

I felt the same way but I did finally get through using OP's persistence method. Took me 4 days of trying but it worked. Don't give up!
