New York Unemployment website errors when filing initial claim - keeps kicking me out
The unemployment website is giving me issues trying to file my first claim. Gets to the middle of the application then kicks me out with an error message. Tried multiple times and browsers but same result. Anyone else dealing with this or know how to fix it?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone who fixed this for me. Used claimyr.com - it costs $20 but they dial and wait on hold, then connect you to a real person. Worth it after dealing with the website mess. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

The website works better super early in the morning like 6am or late at night after 11pm. Less traffic on the servers then.

PROTIP: Use Microsoft Edge browser! The site hates Chrome and Firefox for some reason lololol

Listen up everyone dealing with this issue - here's what you need to know: First, try these steps: - Clear browser cache/cookies - Use Microsoft Edge - Try early morning or late night - Write down your answers before starting so you can quickly re-enter if it crashes If still having issues, you have 2 options: 1. Keep trying the website (can take days) 2. Call them directly (good luck getting through) Best solution I found was using claimyr.com - yes it costs $20 but they handle the calling/holding and get you to a real person who can file the claim over the phone. Way better than fighting with the broken website. Dont give up - you need these benefits and its worth the hassle to get it done right!
