New York Unemployment virtual assessment required but no computer - Help!
Getting unemployment benefits for years without issues. Now they want me to do a 90-minute virtual assessment but I don't have access to a computer. Never had to do this before when I was staying at my other place. Anyone know what happens if you can't do the virtual meeting?

You can actually use your phone for the virtual assessment. Download Microsoft Teams app and you should be good to go. They send the link in the email/letter.

These virtual assessments are such bs. They started them last month to catch people working while collecting. My friend had to do one and they just ask basic questions about job search efforts.

Here's what you need to know: - You can use any device with internet (phone, tablet, laptop) - Need Microsoft Teams app installed - Must have working camera and mic - They'll ask about your job search efforts - Usually lasts about 60 mins (not full 90) - Have your work search records ready If you're having trouble reaching them to reschedule or have questions, try claimyr.com - they'll get you through to a rep quick.
