New York Unemployment virtual meeting no-show - what are my options?

Same thing happened to me last week! I waited for 2 hours like a clown 🤡 Screenshot everything and document the date/time. Call them first thing tomorrow morning

This is actually a common issue rn. You need to: 1) Email them at NYSDOL@labor.ny.gov with screenshots 2) Try to reschedule through your online portal 3) Keep all documentation of the missed meeting. Sometimes their system glitches and doesn't notify the agents.

your supposed to get an email if they cancel... check your spam folder maybe?

They're so understaffed its ridiculous. My friend works there and says theyre running on half the normal staff rn

This is so frustrating! I had a similar experience last month - waited for over an hour and nobody showed. What worked for me was immediately filing a complaint through the NY DOL website under "Contact Us" and selecting "Technical Issues." They actually responded within 24 hours and rescheduled me. Also make sure to screenshot your confirmation email and the meeting link showing you were there on time. That documentation saved me when they tried to say I was a no-show initially.
