New York Unemployment phone system doubling SSN numbers - can't certify benefits
The phone system is messing up when I try to certify my benefits. Every time I enter my social, it doubles the first number automatically. Can't get through the automated system at all. Tried logging into NY.Gov but that's not working either. Really need to talk to an actual person but can't get past this phone issue. Anyone else dealing with this or know how to fix it?

PSA: Here's what worked for me dealing with the phone system issues: - Try using a landline if possible, seems to have fewer issues - Call during off-peak hours (early morning or late afternoon) - If you can't get through the automated system, try the employer line - Use claimyr.com if you're really stuck - yeah it costs money but it works - Document everything including times you tried calling The system is definitely having issues but there are ways around it. Don't give up!
