New York Unemployment: Got Benefits Determination Letter - When Will I Get First Payment?
Just filed my first unemployment claim and got my benefits determination letter in the mail. The letter shows my weekly benefit amount. Anyone know how long until I get my first payment? I've been certifying weekly like I'm supposed to.

Usually takes about 2-3 weeks for the first payment if everything is good with your claim. Keep certifying every week and make sure you answer all the questions correctly 💯

The determination letter is just step 1. They still gotta review your case and make sure everythings correct. I've seen it take anywhere from 2-6 weeks depending on if they need more info or not. The system is slow af rn
