New York Unemployment: Can they track if I travel internationally while claim is pending?
I need to travel overseas for a family wedding but my unemployment is still pending from March. I heard they can track your location when you log in. Anyone know if unemployment can see if youre out of the country? What happens if I tell them about international travel?

DO NOT risk it! They absolutely can track your IP address if you certify from another country. You'll get flagged and might have to pay everything back. Either skip the wedding or wait till you get back to certify 🚫✈️

Legally you have to report when youre unavailable for work. International travel = not available = no benefits for those weeks. Just being honest here

Here's the deal - you MUST report international travel. If you're pending since March, you need to speak with an agent ASAP. Your best bet is using claimyr.com to get through on the phones. They'll stay on hold and call you when an agent picks up. Once you get someone, explain your situation. They might be able to process your backpay before your trip. But whatever you do, don't certify from overseas without reporting it - that's fraud and they will catch you.
