Need governor's office number for New York Unemployment issues
My unemployment case has been stuck for weeks and I need to escalate this to the governor's office. Regular phone lines aren't helping. Does anyone have the right number to call? Been trying different numbers I found online but none seem to work.

Hey! I actually found a way to get through to unemployment directly using claimyr.com - they call and wait on hold for you then connect you when someone picks up. Costs $20 but was worth every penny for me. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Skip the govs office. Contact your local assemblyperson instead. They actually have direct lines to unemployment office and can help speed things up.

When I finally got through, the rep asked for all my previous attempt details and it helped show how long I d'been trying. Really speeds up the process once you do connect with someone.

Been dealing with the same nightmare for 2 months now. What finally worked for me was filing a complaint with the NY Department of Labor's Inspector General office at 518-457-8746. They actually have authority to investigate delays and can push your case through faster than going through regular channels. Also try emailing the DOL Commissioner directly - sometimes those emails get flagged for priority review. Don't give up, the squeaky wheel gets the grease with these agencies!
