NYSDOL: When will payments resume after overpayment deduction?

Hey everyone, I'm wondering if anyone knows when I'll get my payments after they take out the overpayment? I've been waiting for a while now and still haven't received anything. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any idea on the timeline?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Been waiting for weeks after they took out my overpayment. The system is so slow, it's frustrating!

Weeks? I've been waiting for months! 😤 NYSDOL needs to get their act together.

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can speed things up.

Yeah, I've tried calling but can never get through. It's like hitting a brick wall every time.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting so much time trying to get through on my own.

From my experience, it usually takes about 2-3 weeks after they process the overpayment for the regular payments to start again. But with NYSDOL, you never know 🤷‍♂️

Have you checked your payment history on the website? Sometimes it shows pending payments before they hit your account.

Good idea, I'll take a look. Thanks!

Honestly, the whole system is a joke. They take forever to process anything and then expect us to pay back overpayments immediately. It's not fair.

Preach! 🙌 The system is rigged against us.

C'mon guys, they're probably just understaffed and overworked. Cut them some slack.

Understaffed or not, it's their job. We shouldn't have to suffer because they can't get it together.

Here's what I know about the process after dealing with overpayments: 1. Once they determine there's an overpayment, they'll send you a notice. 2. They'll start deducting from your future benefits to recoup the overpayment. 3. Your regular payments should resume after the overpayment is fully recovered. 4. The timeline can vary, but it's usually within 4-6 weeks. 5. If it's been longer than that, definitely try to contact them. Remember, each case is different, so your experience might vary. Keep checking your online account for updates and don't hesitate to reach out to them if it's taking too long. Good luck!
