NY unemployment website login issues today - can't upload resume
Is the NY unemployment website acting weird for anyone else today? I've been trying to log in for the past 2 hours to upload my updated resume, but keep running into problems. Either the site completely times out after I enter my NY.gov ID, or I get this weird message saying 'Your connection is not secure' and something about an invalid certificate. I've never had these issues before and my internet is working fine for everything else. Anyone know what's going on or have a workaround? I really need to get this resume uploaded ASAP.

The NYSDOL website is having technical issues today. They posted on their Twitter about emergency maintenance that was supposed to be done by 8am, but obviously they're still having problems. Try clearing your cache and cookies first - that sometimes helps. If that doesn't work, you might need to try a different browser. Chrome seems to be working better than Firefox or Edge for me right now.

•Thanks for the update! I don't use Twitter so I had no idea. I'll try clearing my cache and switching browsers. Really appreciate it.

•At least I'm not the only one! Let me know if you find a way to get in.

This happens every other Monday I swear. They really need to invest in better servers or something. I've been dealing with this since January and it's always when I need to upload something important.

•Yep, their system definitely gets overloaded on Mondays. I've found that trying very early (like 6am) or late at night (after 10pm) works better. Fewer people on the system then.

I was having the same issue this morning. What worked for me was using an incognito/private browsing window. The security certificate error happens sometimes when the site is updating. Also, make sure your resume is in the right format - they only accept .doc, .docx, or .pdf files under 3MB. If you're still having trouble by this afternoon, you might want to try Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get connected with an actual agent who can help. They helped me when I had a similar issue last month where I couldn't upload documents. They have a video that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•I just tried the incognito window tip and it actually worked! Thanks for suggesting that. I was able to get in and upload my resume. I've bookmarked that Claimyr site though in case I run into more serious problems later. The NY unemployment site always seems to have issues when you need it most.

•I didn't think of that! I'll give it a try if the other suggestions don't work. Thanks!

Does anyone know if there's a deadline for uploading resumes? I thought we had until the end of the month to do it?

•For 2025, you need to have an updated resume on file within 14 days of opening your claim, and then you should update it at least once every 90 days while collecting benefits. They've gotten stricter about this requirement since January - I know people who've had payments delayed because their resume wasn't current.

For anyone still having issues, I spoke with someone at NYSDOL this morning. They confirmed they're having intermittent problems with their secure certificate provider and the login system today. They expect it to be fully resolved by 4pm Eastern. If you absolutely need to upload your resume today and can't wait, call the tech support line at 888-209-8124, press 1 for English, then press 6 for technical assistance with your online account. Be prepared for a wait though - when I called the wait was about 40 minutes.

•Thank you for the detailed info! I actually managed to get in using the incognito browser suggestion and got my resume uploaded successfully. Such a relief!
