NY unemployment login issues - can't access my payment transcript since last night
Is anyone else having trouble getting into their NY unemployment payment transcript? Since last night I've been trying to check my payment history but the system just keeps loading forever then times out. I've tried on my phone and laptop, cleared cookies, even tried a different browser. Still nothing. My weekly certification went through fine on Sunday but now I'm worried something's wrong with my claim. Anyone know what's going on or having the same problem?

•Thanks for confirming it's not just me! Did they say anywhere how long it might be down?

The NY DOL system often undergoes maintenance on Tuesday nights, but they usually post about it on their Twitter/X account first. I just checked and don't see any announcements. Sometimes these unplanned outages happen when they're updating payment information for the week. It should be back up within 24 hours typically.

•I didn't think to check their social media. That makes sense if it's just routine maintenance. I'll give it until tomorrow then. Just makes me nervous when I can't see my payment status!

I work in IT and this happens every few months with the NY unemployment system. It's usually one of three things: 1) Scheduled maintenance they forgot to announce, 2) Unscheduled maintenance to fix a bug, or 3) System overload from too many people checking at once (especially common on payment days). If you really need to speak with someone about your claim while the system is down, I'd recommend using Claimyr (claimyr.com). They helped me get through to an actual DOL agent in about 15 minutes last month when I had a similar issue and needed to verify something urgent. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•is that service legit? seems sketchy that ud have to pay to talk to unemployment ppl when its a govt service

•It's definitely legit. They don't replace the unemployment service - they just help you skip the phone queue. I was skeptical too, but when I was dealing with a payment delay and couldn't get through after trying for 3 days, it was worth it. They basically keep dialing for you until they get through.

IM SO SICK OF THIS STUPID WEBSITE!!!! Every time I need to check something important it's DOWN DOWN DOWN!!! How are we supposed to manage our finances when we can't even SEE if we're getting paid?? And they NEVER give any warning! Some of us rely on knowing EXACTLY when money is coming in!!!!

•Oh that's concerning. I just checked my email and spam folder but don't see anything from DOL. Maybe it was just routine maintenance after all. I'll keep an eye out though.

For future reference, if you need to check on payment status when the website is down, you can also call the automated payment line at 888-581-5812. It's often more reliable than the website and will tell you if a payment has been released to your account or debit card.

•That's super helpful! I didn't know about the automated line. I'm saving that number for next time. Thanks!

•That number NEVER works for me!! I just get the 'all representatives are busy' message and it hangs up!
