unpopular opinion but sometimes its faster to just file a whole new claim rather than trying to get the old one restored. I gave up after 3 weeks of calling and just filed new, got payments in 10 days. 🤷‍♂️

FYI - there's a known system issue with ny unemployment where claims 'disappear' after certain updates. It's happened to thousands of people. You need to speak to a tier 2 specialist who can see archived claims. Regular agents literally can't see them in their system.

i hope you kept all your claim info written down somewhere! claim number, exact dates, etc. you'll need that to help them find your old claim in the system.

Did you try contacting them through Twitter? Sounds weird but their social media team sometimes responds faster than phone support. DM them your issue (no personal info) and they might escalate it.
