Certified on Sunday but payment not showing up in NY unemployment payment history?

I filed my weekly claim yesterday (Sunday) like I always do, but I'm freaking out because it's still not showing up in my payment history today. Usually I can see the pending payment by now. I checked my bank account and nothing's there either. Is the system having issues? Anyone else experiencing this delay with their unemployment payment this week? This is the first time this has happened to me since I started collecting in June.

Same here! I certified on Sunday morning and it's still not showing in my payment history. Usually shows up by Monday afternoon at the latest. Starting to worry since rent is due next week and I'm already cutting it close 😬

Give it another day. Mine just showed up an hour ago and I certified Sunday at 8am. The system has been extra glitchy lately.

Did yours show pending or just appear out of nowhere? My payment history screen is totally blank for this week

It just appeared. No pending status or anything, just suddenly there.

After months of trying to get through to someone about missing payments, I found a service that actually connects you with a live agent! Used claimyr.com and got a callback with an actual human who fixed my payment issues within minutes. Literally saved me weeks of stress. Check out their process here: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE - talking to an agent got my money released when nothing else worked!

yeah right, another 'miracle solution'... what's the catch? 🙄 these things never work

No catch - it just connects you with a real DOL rep. I was skeptical too but was desperate after 3 weeks of no payments. They just call and wait on hold for you instead of you having to do it yourself.

wait hold up - does this actually work or is it just the usual BS? I've been trying to get thru for 2 weeks now

It worked for me! Got connected to a rep who fixed my account issues right away. Worth checking out if you're stuck like I was: claimyr.com

hmm I've been burned by so many of these 'services' before... what makes this different?

So I was about to throw my phone after 5 hours on hold last week when my buddy told me about this. Used it yesterday and got a call back in like 2 hours. The agent fixed my issue in 10 min. Actually works.

Give it till tomorrow. The system often has delays on Mondays, especially if there was a high volume of certifications or if they're doing backend updates. I've had this happen a few times where payments don't show up till Tuesday afternoon.

This happened to me last month. Turned out I accidentally answered a question wrong during certification (said I wasn't available for work when I meant to say I was). Had to call them to fix it. The NY unemployment system is SOOOO unforgiving for small mistakes 😡

Oh god now I'm paranoid! I don't think I made any mistakes but I was half asleep when I certified. How did you know you made a mistake?

It didn't show up in payment history for 3 days, then got a letter in the mail a week later saying I was ineligible for that week. Total nightmare.

The system is designed to trip people up I swear. Always certify when fully awake and focused!

Have you logged in and out? Sometimes the payment history has a caching issue and doesn't refresh properly. Also try clearing your browser cookies or using a different browser/device to check.

Just tried logging out and back in, and also tried on my phone instead of computer. Still nothing showing up 😔

Is your benefit year ending soon? Mine stopped showing in payment history the week before my BYE date and I had to reapply. Check your benefit year end date in your account.

My benefit year started in June, so I should have months left. But I'll double check the exact date.

Look for these common reasons payments get delayed: - Answering a certification question incorrectly - System maintenance (happens randomly) - Your quarterly review period came up - Identity verification flags - Work search requirements not properly documented - Bank account verification issues - Benefit year ending If it doesn't show up by Wednesday, you'll likely need to speak with a representative. Don't wait - the longer you wait, the longer it'll take to resolve. I've found that using claimyr.com is the most reliable way to actually get someone on the phone instead of calling for days. When I had a similar issue, getting a live agent on the phone was the only thing that fixed it - they found a flag on my account I couldn't see online. Also, take screenshots of your certification confirmation if you have it. Document everything - dates, confirmation numbers, etc. You might need this if you have to dispute anything. Hope this helps!

This is super helpful, thank you! I took a screenshot of my certification confirmation on Sunday so I have that at least. Will give it one more day then try to get someone on the phone.

No problem! The quarterly review thing happened to me - turns out they were checking my previous employer contributions and it caused a 2-week delay with zero notification. So frustrating!

The DOL website has been extra wonky lately. They might be doing updates to the system. I know several people who've had delays this week.

Check ur email! Sometimes they send messages about pending issues that don't show up on the site. Also check ur spam folder, that's where mine went last time.

Just checked all folders including spam - nothing from DOL 😕

Protip: Take screenshots EVERY TIME you certify showing the confirmation page. I learned this the hard way when they claimed I didn't certify one week when I definitely did. Save yourself the headache!

THIS!!! 💯 Screenshot everything. The ny unemployment system will screw you over and then act like it's your fault.

Just checked and my direct deposit info still looks correct. Good suggestion though!

could be a banking holiday delaying things. with columbus day/indigenous peoples day yesterday some bank processing might be pushed back.

QuantumQuasar

That's a good point but it should still show up in the payment history on the DOL site even if the bank transfer is delayed.

Anyone know if there's maintenance happening right now? The site feels extra slow today too.

I work in IT and the NYSDOL site is notorious for caching issues. Try pressing CTRL+F5 (or Command+Shift+R on Mac) to force a complete page refresh. Also, try a different browser entirely. Sometimes their site just doesn't play nice with certain browsers.

Just tried both Firefox and Chrome with a forced refresh. Still nothing 😩
