Can I still file my 2020 1099-G forms with ny unemployment or just 2021?

You can get both years. I had the same problem. My 2020 form wasnt showing up anywhere online. You'll need to call and specifically ask for your 2020 1099-G to be sent to you. They can either mail it or email it. Took me forever to get someone on the phone tho.

You can request ANY year's 1099-G, not just the current year. The website is just designed horribly and only shows the current year automatically. Such a typical NY unemployment mess! 🤦‍♀️

here's what's dumb - they could just make ALL your 1099-Gs available online but nope, gotta make it complicated for no reason. peak government efficiency right there 🙄

did u check ur email from last year? they emailed mine to me in Jan 2021 and i just searched my inbox for "1099-G" and found it. might be worth a shot before calling

If u need it super fast, try reaching out to your state assembly person's office. My brother had the same issue and his assemblyman's office had connections to get it within 48 hrs. Worth a shot if ur desperate!
