If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

The system is SO broken though. Even if you file right away you might wait weeks for adjudication if there's any issue with your claim. I filed immediately when I got laid off in December and I'm still waiting for them to approve my claim because they're 'investigating' something about my previous employer. The NYS Department of Labor moves at a snail's pace.

Oh no, that's exactly what I'm worried about! What kind of investigation takes that long?

yep file immediately, good luck getting through though lol

I had a similar situation and couldn't get through to NYS Department of Labor for weeks to ask about my work history. Finally used this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that actually got me connected to an agent who could review my eligibility over the phone. There's even a demo video at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Way easier than trying to navigate the phone system myself.

How much did that cost though? Seems like you should be able to get this info for free.

I was spending hours trying to get through on my own and getting nowhere. Sometimes it's worth it to just get a real answer instead of guessing about something this important.

The NYS Department of Labor system is SO confusing about this stuff. I've been working for 3 years and still wasn't sure if I qualified when I got furloughed. Turns out I did but it took forever to figure out all the requirements.

honestly the whole system is rigged anyway. they'll probably deny you just because they can and then you'll have to appeal and wait months. happened to me and three other people i know. but yeah definitely still apply, you never know

Good luck with everything! I hope it works out for you. Being terminated is stressful enough without worrying about benefits too.

Also make sure you understand the job search requirements! You'll need to make at least 3 job contacts per week and keep a log. NYS Department of Labor can audit your job search activities at any time.

Do they really check the job search log? What counts as a valid job contact?

been there done that, whole thing takes forever and the website crashes all the time

My cousin went through this last year. When her benefits ended she had to apply for every assistance program she could find and picked up gig work to survive. It's rough but there are food pantries, emergency help programs, sometimes churches have assistance too. Just don't give up on the job search.

Wait, I thought there was something called extended benefits? Or is that only in certain situations? I'm confused about what happens after regular UI ends.

Extended Benefits (EB) only kick in when unemployment rates hit certain triggers, and NY hasn't met those thresholds recently. Right now there's no automatic extension program running.
