Have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes the unemployment office responds faster there. Worth a shot!
Just a heads up, they changed some eligibility rules last month. Make sure you double-check that you still qualify under the new guidelines. Don't wanna get hit with an overpayment later!
Anyone else feel like they're screaming into the void every time they try to contact NYDOL? I swear, it's easier to get ahold of bigfoot than an actual human being there 🙄
Not sure if this helps, but I've heard some success stories of people reaching out to their state senators or representatives for help with unemployment issues. Might be worth a shot?
Hey, just wanted to say don't give up. I was in a similar boat (see what I did there? 😉) last year. It took some persistence, but I finally got my benefits sorted. You got this!

idk about unemployment, but have you considered picking up some gig work while on strike? Might help tide you over until this is resolved.

•That's not a bad idea. Might have to look into that if this drags on. Thanks!

This whole system is rigged against workers. We strike for our rights and they cut us off from benefits. It's time for a complete overhaul!
