If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

just fyi - if you're getting desperate and need the money now, I found a workaround. Apply for the NY Taxpayer Assistance Program. They can sometimes issue a hardship payment while you wait for your refund to process. You'll need to prove financial hardship though.

This happened to me too. Called for weeks and couldn't get through. Finally paid for claimyr.com and got connected to someone in about an hour. Found out my refund was on hold for "income verification" but they never sent me any notice about it! The agent released it right away and I got my money 2 weeks later. It's ridiculous we have to jump through these hoops but at least I finally got my money.

Yeah it actually works. They just do the calling and holding for you, then connect you when they get a human. Saved me so much frustration.

They just released a press statement saying they're working through a backlog of identity verification cases. Maybe that's why you and others are suddenly getting paid?

That makes sense actually. My issue was supposedly related to identity verification. Where did you see the statement?

it was on their twitter account yesterday. they said something about clearing a backlog of pending claims that were held up for verification

Just a reminder that the DOL is severely understaffed and running on ancient computer systems. Not excusing the horrible service, but there are structural reasons why this keeps happening to EVERYONE. We need to demand better funding and technology upgrades from our state representatives!

they deliberately underfund it to make it harder to claim benefits. it's by design, not accident.

Partially agree, but having friends who work there, I know they're genuinely overwhelmed and working with tech from the stone age. It's both intentional barriers AND legitimate technical limitations.

Ok, but have you tried looking at your payment history in your online account? Sometimes the system will show a payment was "released" but with an "outstanding issue" code next to it. That can tell you exactly why it's held up.

0 coins

Where exactly do I find this? I looked under payment history but didn't see any codes or notes about issues.

Go to your payment history, then look at the status column. If it says anything other than "processed" there should be a code. Click on the code and it'll give you the reason. If you don't see that, check the "messages" section of your account.

The backlog is insane right now. My letter took 3 weeks to arrive, but my neighbor got hers in 5 days. It's totally random. Just keep checking your online account daily and make sure you certify every week no matter what. Sometimes the payments start showing up even before you get any official letters.

i heard they're super backed up because of all the fraud cases lately. my cousin works for NY unemployment (not in claims processing tho) and says they're reviewing everything manually which is why there are so many delays. just be patient and make sure all your info is 100% accurate or you'll get flagged for review.

0 coins

That's really good to know. I'll double check all my info to make sure everything matches perfectly. Last thing I need is to get stuck in some review queue.

Don't listen to anyone telling you to give up. I fought for 5 months and finally got all my backpay ($7600). The system is designed to discourage you from pursuing what's rightfully yours. Stay persistent and document absolutely everything. Request your calls be escalated to a supervisor. If all else fails, contact your state representative - that's what finally worked for me.

Y'all need to stop complaining and just do what I did. File a formal complaint with the NY Department of Labor Inspector General. Google the form, fill it out detailing exactly how they're violating their own policies by claiming you didn't certify when you have proof you did. I got a call back within 3 DAYS and my backpay was released a week later. They don't mess around with inspector general complaints.

Do you have a link to the specific form? I'm finding a few different complaint forms online and not sure which is the right one.

Here you go: https://ig.ny.gov/form/complaint-form-long The key is to specifically mention that you have evidence of certifying (screenshots, emails, etc) that contradicts what their system shows. That's what gets their attention.
