sometimes their system does this when they need more documentation from you. log into your account and check the "messages" section to see if there's anything in there. also check if there are any outstanding questionnaires or forms they need you to fill out.
This literally happened to me two days ago!!! I've been getting payments for 5 months, then suddenly denied. I called non-stop for 2 days then got through this morning. They said it was a "verification issue" and fixed it on the spot. My advice - KEEP CALLING until you get a human. Don't rely on the website to fix itself.
Honestly it was horrible - I called 23 times before even getting in the hold queue, then waited 2.5 hours. Total nightmare!
So I was about to throw my phone after 3 hours on hold when I found claimyr.com - they waited on hold for me and just called when they got a rep. talking to an agent got my $ unlocked so fast, totally worth it
The NY unemployment system is so broken it's actually impressive. Like how do you mess up THIS badly? Maybe try tagging them on Twitter - sometimes the social media team can help when regular channels fail.
Their twitter team actually helped me last year when I was stuck in verification hell. Worth a shot!
Seeing all these responses makes me realize I'm not crazy for being so frustrated with this system. Been dealing with ID.me issues since June and still no resolution. NY unemployment is a special kind of torture.
Check if ur claim says 'released' or 'processed' - those mean different things and affect when u get paid
Anyone know if this keybank card works with apple pay? Trying to figure out if I can use it before the physical card comes
yeah it does, i've been using mine with apple pay for months. just need to add it in ur wallet app
did u check if ur account is locked? sometimes after verification they lock ur account as an "extra security measure" 🙄 u need to look for a message about account access
I can log in fine, so I don't think it's locked. Just can't certify because it says I need to verify my identity (which I already did
THE WORST. Took me 17 days to get my account working after ID verification. The real kicker? When I finally got someone on the phone, they said "oh yeah, I can see you're verified, let me just click this button to update your account status" - took them 10 seconds to fix. The system is DESIGNED to be frustrating.

This whole system is a joke. I used to work for a state agency (not unemployment but similar) and I can tell you exactly what's happening: these cases get flagged in their system and put in a special investigation queue. The problem is they have like 5 investigators for thousands of cases. So unless someone manually flags your case as priority, it just sits there forever. You need to find a way to get it prioritized.

•This is so true. My cousin works at NYSDOL and says the same thing. The fraud dept is understaffed by like 70%.

I tried for MONTHS to get my claim fixed after identity theft. Called hundreds of times. Finally used claimyr.com and got through to a real person who actually helped. Talking to an agent got my $ unlocked so fast after almost giving up. Sometimes you just need to get to the right person who can actually help instead of the usual script readers.

•No they just get you connected to the unemployment office directly. It's like paying someone to wait on hold for you, then they call you when a real agent picks up. The service itself doesn't ask for any personal info.

•This sounds promising. Going to give it a try!
