Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Has anyone tried the in-person career centers? I went to one last week thinking they could help with my claim but they just directed me back to the phone number I've been calling for weeks 😤

Same experience! Total waste of time and bus fare. They literally can't access the unemployment system at the career centers anymore.

The one on Fulton St told me they haven't handled unemployment claims in person since 2019. Everything is centralized now.

Hey, I was in your exact situation 2 weeks ago. After trying to call for a month straight I used claimyr.com and they got me a callback within hours. Agent told me my claim had a fraud flag for some reason 🤬 but they removed it and I got all my backpay last week. It was such a relief! Check them out if you can't get through on your own.

Ask your previous employer for help proving your identity. My HR department wrote a letter verifying my employment history and identity which sped things up with the unemployment office. Worth a shot.

Im in the same situation and its been 7 weeks of waiting. I finaly got through to someone using claimyr.com and they told me to keep certifying every week even though I cant get any payments yet. That way when your identity is verified youll get all the backpay at once. Dont miss any weekly certifications!

mine was stuck becuse they needed to verify my identity. they never told me this until I talked to like the 20th agent. check your online account and see if theres a message or document request you missed.

Yes, I've been able to certify every week without any problems. The system accepts my weekly claims but no money ever comes through.

That's actually a good sign! Means your claim is probably valid and there's just some technical issue holding up payment. When I went through this, it was because they had my bank account number wrong.
