Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. What worked for me with ny unemployment was calling exactly at 8:00:00 am. Like, setting an alarm for 7:59 and dialing at exactly 8. Still waited 20 minutes but got through. Good luck!

sometimes their system does this when they need more documentation from you. log into your account and check the "messages" section to see if there's anything in there. also check if there are any outstanding questionnaires or forms they need you to fill out.
Nothing in messages or my to-do list... it's like they're ghosting me ðŸ˜

This literally happened to me two days ago!!! I've been getting payments for 5 months, then suddenly denied. I called non-stop for 2 days then got through this morning. They said it was a "verification issue" and fixed it on the spot. My advice - KEEP CALLING until you get a human. Don't rely on the website to fix itself.
Honestly it was horrible - I called 23 times before even getting in the hold queue, then waited 2.5 hours. Total nightmare!
So I was about to throw my phone after 3 hours on hold when I found claimyr.com - they waited on hold for me and just called when they got a rep. talking to an agent got my $ unlocked so fast, totally worth it

The whole unemployment system needs to be rebuilt from scratch. Adding ID.me on top of an already broken system just created a bigger mess. I'm a software engineer and I look at this system and just cringe at how poorly designed the whole thing is.
FYI for anyone dealing with this: there's a NYS unemployment hearing office that can sometimes help with stalled claims. Call 1-855-528-5618 and explain that your ID verification is completed but your claim is stuck. Sometimes they can move things along faster than waiting for a callback.

The NY unemployment system is so broken it's actually impressive. Like how do you mess up THIS badly? Maybe try tagging them on Twitter - sometimes the social media team can help when regular channels fail.
