If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I had a similar situation last year and got so stressed about this! The NYS Department of Labor phone lines were impossible to get through to ask questions. I finally found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me actually talk to someone at NYS Department of Labor about my specific situation. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Made such a difference to get clear answers instead of guessing.

How much does something like that cost though? Seems like we shouldn't have to pay extra just to talk to NYS Department of Labor about our own claims.

I get the frustration but honestly it was worth it for the peace of mind. Way better than spending weeks calling and getting nowhere or making mistakes on my claims.

ugh this whole system is so confusing!! why cant they just explain things clearly on the website instead of making us guess?? ive been unemployed since november and STILL dont understand half the terminology they use

I feel you! The my.ny.gov portal is not user-friendly at all. Just keep documenting everything and when in doubt, report it. Better safe than sorry with NYS Department of Labor.

If you're ever in a situation where you need to contact the NYS Department of Labor about your coverage or file a claim, I'd recommend checking out claimyr.com. I used their service when I couldn't get through to anyone at the unemployment office - they have a system that helps you actually reach a live agent instead of sitting on hold forever. There's a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI that shows how it works. Saved me hours of frustration when I needed to verify my claim status.

I agree it shouldn't be necessary, but when you're dealing with unemployment benefits you can't afford to wait weeks for a callback. The service focuses on getting you connected rather than charging high fees.

Good luck with the new job! Just focus on doing well at work and don't stress about the unemployment stuff unless you actually need it someday.

If you're having trouble getting through to NYS Department of Labor for research data or clarification on how they categorize different unemployment types, I had luck using Claimyr recently. They helped me reach an actual agent when I couldn't get through the normal phone lines. Check out claimyr.com - they have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI that shows how it works. Might be useful for getting official information for your paper.

Thanks! I might need to contact them if I can't find the detailed breakdown I need for my research.

just remember for your paper that the unemployment rate only counts people in the labor force. so retirees, full-time students, people on disability who aren't seeking work - none of them count as unemployed even if they don't have jobs. it's specifically about people who want to work and are available to work but can't find employment

Is that legit? Seems too good to be true that there's a service to help you get through to them.

Yeah I was skeptical too but it actually worked. I needed to check on why my claim was taking so long to process and couldn't get through the normal way.

same boat here, got laid off in december and still waiting to hear back about my claim status. this whole process is ridiculous

One thing nobody told me when I started - if your claim goes into adjudication (which mine did for some random reason), it can take WEEKS to get resolved. Just be patient and keep filing your weekly claims even if you're not getting paid yet.

0 coins

What does adjudication mean exactly?

0 coins

Adjudication means they're reviewing your claim for some reason - could be verifying your employment history, reason for separation, or eligibility. During this time your claim is on hold but you should still file weekly.

0 coins

Make sure you report ALL income on your weekly claims, even if it's just $20 from a side gig. If they find out later you didn't report something, they'll hit you with an overpayment and you'll have to pay back everything plus penalties. The system is designed to catch these things eventually.
