Waiting on IRS Identity Verification Letter - Anyone Get Theirs Yet?
Filed back in February and got notified I need to verify my identity. Been checking my mailbox everyday for 3 weeks now and still no letter. Starting to get worried since the IRS website says it should take 7-10 days. Anyone else still waiting or already got theirs?

Tax specialist here. The verification letters (5071C/5747C) are currently experiencing delays due to high volume. While normal processing time is 7-10 days, we're seeing delays of 3-4 weeks. You can try calling the Identity Verification line at 800-830-5084, but wait times are usually 2+ hours.
