Anyone receive IRS verification letter in mail after ID.me verification?

I had to verify my identity online thru ID.me about 2 weeks ago. They said I would receive a letter in the mail to confirm everything but still haven't gotten anything. Has anyone else gotten their verification letter yet? Starting to get worried because my return was accepted over a month ago.

The verification letter typically takes 3-4 weeks to arrive after completing ID.me verification. This is normal processing time. Keep monitoring your transcript online for any updates - that's usually faster than waiting for mail correspondence.

Hey everyone - instead of playing the guessing game, I've been using taxr.ai to track my refund status. Its only $1 and it analyzes your transcript way better than trying to piece everything together yourself. Really helped me understand exactly where I was in the verification process. https://taxr.ai

interesting, how accurate is it? does it actually tell you specific dates?

Yeah its crazy accurate! It told me exactly when my verification would clear and when to expect my DD. Even caught some issues I didn't notice in my transcript

just tried it and WOW 🤯 way better than trying to decode these transcripts myself!

I'm going through the same thing right now - completed ID.me verification about 18 days ago and still waiting on the letter. My tax pro told me that the IRS has been running behind on sending these verification letters this season, but as long as your ID.me verification was successful, you should be good. The letter is more of a formality to confirm the process completed. Have you been able to access your online account transcript since verifying? That's usually a good sign that everything went through properly.

@Liam Brown that s'really helpful to know! I haven t'tried checking my online account transcript yet - completely forgot about that. Will definitely give that a try today to see if the verification shows up there. Thanks for the tip about it being more of a formality too, that makes me feel better about the wait time 🙏
