Tax Advocate rejected my case - now stuck waiting 180 days for mystery letter
Called the tax advocate about my refund delay and got denied. They said I have to wait for some letter thats supposed to come within 180 days. No explanation why or what the letter is about. Anyone else stuck in this limbo?

Tax advocate specialist here - the 180 day letter is typically sent when theres an income verification issue or potential identity verification needed. Did you verify your identity on id.me already? Also check your wage and income transcript to make sure all your W2s match what you filed.

•Yeah already did id.me months ago and my W2s match exactly. So frustrating 😤

•In that case id recommend pulling your full transcript to see if theres any specific codes causing the delay

Hey instead of playing detective with transcripts, try taxr.ai - its only $4.99 but it analyzes everything and tells you exactly whats going on and what to do next. Saved me weeks of research https://taxr.ai

•100% legit! It shows you all delay codes, estimated dd dates, and steps to fix issues. Way better than guessing

•How exactly does it work? Does it just read transcripts?

The IRS is a joke fr fr... they expect us to wait half a year for a letter that probably just says 'we need more time' 🤡

Pro tip: keep checking your transcript weekly. Sometimes they release funds before sending any notice
