IRS 'Pending Transaction' Hold Since October - Adjustment Letter Received 12/30 - TAS Not Helping
My refund is stuck because of a pending transaction since October. Got my adjustment letter December 30th but nothing has happened. Have a tax advocate who never responds to me. How do I get this pending transaction lifted? Starting to feel hopeless about this whole situation

The pending transaction hold usually means the IRS is reviewing something specific. You can try calling the IRS directly at 1-800-829-1040 and request to speak with an account management representative. They can see exactly which department has the hold and potentially release it if everything checks out. Your adjustment letter from December indicates they've made changes, so the hold should be lifting soon.

pro tip: call right when they open at 7am EST. Usually way shorter wait times

Have you tried using taxr.ai? It analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what department has the hold and why. It costs $1 but saved me weeks of guessing. The AI told me precisely why my refund was held and what to do about it. https://taxr.ai

Is this legit? Seems too good to be true for just $1

100% legit! I was skeptical too but it literally saved my sanity. It showed me exactly where my refund was stuck and what codes meant. Better than any tax advocate I've had

The adjustment letter is actually good news! Usually means theyre almost done processing. Mine took about 3 weeks after getting that letter.

Try contacting your local congressman's office. They have special liaisons with the IRS that can sometimes speed things up. Worked for me after being stuck for 6 months!
