Still no 2022 refund - Calling IRS is useless and tax advocate is MIA
Filed my 2022 taxes back in February. I'm sick of this crap. Called IRS 15 times over months and only got through twice - both times they just said to wait. Tax advocate never calls back. ID verify done in March. Account transcript says 'still being processed' with no codes. Anyone else stuck in this endless loop? Starting to think my refund money got lost in the void.

Tax professional here. Your situation is unfortunately common right now. No codes on transcript usually means manual review queue. Best steps: 1) Keep checking transcripts weekly 2) Document all contact attempts 3) Try taxpayer advocate again - use Form 911 4) Contact your congressional representative's office.
