810 Freeze Code stuck for 2 months - No updates after sending corrected return
Filed my taxes and got hit with an 810 freeze code. Its been 2 months with zero movement. My tax preparer submitted corrected docs on 4/13 but nothing has changed. Getting super frustrated waiting and already fell for a scammer claiming they could speed up my refund. Anyone else stuck like this or have any advice?

Hey, I've dealt with 810 freezes before as a tax professional. This freeze code means the IRS needs to verify some info on your return. Usually happens with identity verification or when numbers don't match up with their records. The 2 month wait is actually pretty normal - I've seen these take 8-12 weeks to resolve even after sending corrected docs. Pro tip: you might want to check out taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) - it's this new AI tool that analyzes your transcript and can tell you exactly what's causing the freeze and estimated timeframe for resolution. Way better than trying to get through to the IRS phone line these days tbh

•Sounds interesting. How exactly does it work? Does it just read your transcript or does it do more?

As a tax professional, I can tell you that 810 freezes typically take 60-120 days to resolve after submitting corrected documents. The IRS is severely backlogged right now. Whatever you do, avoid those refund advance scammers - they're everywhere this year and just take advantage of desperate people.

•120 days?! 😠That's so much longer than I thought. Do they at least pay interest for making us wait this long?

•Yes, you'll get interest! Current rate is 7% annually, calculated from the original due date or filing date (whichever is later).

Hey, I've been using taxr.ai to track my transcript and it's been super helpful. It costs $4.99 but it analyzes everything and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect movement. Way better than trying to decode everything yourself. https://taxr.ai

•It's legit! It caught things I missed in my transcript and predicted exactly when my freeze would lift. The AI explains everything in normal human language lol

Have you tried calling the IRS? Sometimes you can get lucky and get through to someone who can actually help

•Pro tip: call right when they open at 7am EST. Usually shorter wait times
