State Tax Refund Check - Expected Wait Times for Paper Check VS Direct Deposit?
My state refund got mailed as a paper check instead of direct deposit like I requested. Anyone know how long I should expect to wait? Already been 3 weeks since approved.

Expect 2-4 weeks for paper checks after the approval date. Each state has different processing times, but mail delivery adds extra time compared to direct deposit. Make sure your address is correct on your return because if it gets returned to the state treasury, that's another headache.

Pro tip: Next year make sure u double check the direct deposit info b4 submitting. One wrong number and it defaults to paper check
