Bank rejected IRS refund - how long until paper check arrives?
Just got notified my bank rejected my refund deposit. Anyone know the timeline for getting a paper check instead? Really need this money and getting worried about the wait.

Generally when a direct deposit is rejected, the IRS will automatically process a paper check within 2-4 weeks. Make sure your mailing address is correct on your return. You can check your transcript for code 846 with the new issued date.

Been through this before - typically takes 3-4 weeks for the paper check to arrive after rejection. You can also track it on the IRS website using "Where's My Refund" tool. Just make sure your address hasn't changed since you filed!
