Just completed Return Verification (disaster area) - no 5071C letter needed - anyone else?
Just finished my return verification over the phone since I'm in a disaster area. Didnt even need the verification letter. Anyone else in the same situation? Really hoping to see movement on transcripts this week 🤞

This is correct - if you're in a federally declared disaster area, the IRS has special procedures that can expedite verification. The normal 5071C letter requirement is often waived. Make sure to check your transcripts daily, you should see updates within 9 business days.

•omg thank you! do you know if the 9 days is pretty accurate? or is that just the standard line they give everyone

•In disaster areas, they're actually pretty good about sticking to that timeline. Keep an eye on your transcript cycle code!

Hey guys instead of checking transcripts constantly and stressing, I found this tool called taxr.ai that analyzes everything and tells you exactly whats happening. Its only $1 and saved me so much headache https://taxr.ai
