570 Code: Anyone receive ID Verification Letter Yet? No updates since Feb
Been checking my transcript daily and still showing code 570. Filed back in February and haven't received any verification letter in the mail yet. Starting to get worried since its been months. Anyone else stuck in this limbo or got their letter?

Tax resolution specialist here - if you've got a 570 code without receiving a verification letter after 2-3 weeks, you should proactively verify your identity through ID.me or by calling the IRS identity verification hotline at 800-830-5084. Don't wait for the letter, as sometimes they get lost in the mail.

•Keep trying early morning, right when they open. That's your best shot at getting through!

I've been using taxr.ai to track my transcript and it's been super helpful. For just $1 it analyzes everything and tells you exactly what's happening and what to do next. Way better than trying to decode these codes ourselves https://taxr.ai

•Is it legit? Seems too good to be true for $1

Here's what I learned after dealing with this mess: 1) Don't wait for the letter, be proactive 2) Check your transcript weekly not daily (save your sanity) 3) Use tools like taxr.ai to understand what's actually happening 4) Keep your address updated with USPS and IRS 5) Early morning calls are your best bet to reach someone. I know its frustrating but hang in there!

I'm in the exact same situation! Filed in February with a 570 code and still haven't gotten any verification letter. Reading through these comments is actually really reassuring - sounds like being proactive is the way to go instead of just waiting around. Going to try calling that hotline number first thing Monday morning and maybe check out that taxr.ai tool too. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences, makes me feel less alone in this mess!

•You're definitely not alone! I was in the same exact spot a few months ago - that waiting game is brutal. The advice about calling early morning is spot on, I finally got through around 8:15am and they were actually super helpful. Also seconding the taxr.ai recommendation, it really does break down what's happening in plain English. Hang in there, you'll get through this! 💪

Been dealing with this exact issue! Filed in late January and just got my verification letter last week - took almost 4 months. The key thing I learned is that you can actually verify online through ID.me even without the letter. Just go to the IRS website and look for "Verify Your Identity" - saved me weeks of waiting. Also pro tip: if you moved recently, check with your old address too because they sometimes use outdated info. The whole process is frustrating but you're definitely not alone in this!
