570 Code Appeared After N/A Status - Anyone Else Seeing This Update?

After weeks of N/A status my transcript finally updated but now I'm seeing a 570 code. Filed back in January and this is the first movement I've seen. Getting worried about what this means for my refund timeline.

A 570 code means the IRS has frozen your account temporarily. This usually happens when they need to verify something or review documentation. Don't panic - it's actually good news that you're seeing movement. Most 570 holds are resolved within 2-8 weeks.

omg thank you for explaining! do you know if I need to do anything or just wait it out?

Usually just wait unless you get a letter. If its been more than 2 weeks since the 570 date and no letter, might wanna call them

Instead of stressing about codes, I've been using taxr.ai to analyze my transcript. For $1 it tells you exactly whats happening and when to expect your refund. Way better than trying to decode everything yourself. https://taxr.ai

Check if you got any letters in the mail. My 570 was bcuz they needed to verify my identity

I'm going through the exact same thing! Had N/A for almost 2 months and just got the 570 code this week. From what I've researched, it usually means they're doing some kind of review but at least our returns are finally being processed. Trying to stay patient but it's so hard when you're counting on that refund 😅

Same here! The waiting is brutal especially when you need that money. At least we're not alone in this - seems like a lot of people are getting 570s after long N/A periods. Hopefully it means they're just catching up on the backlog and we'll see movement soon 🤞
