Just completed IRS return verification by phone (disaster area) - Anyone else get updates after verification?
I just completed my return verification over the phone since I'm in a disaster area. They said I didn't need the letter to verify. Anyone else get their refund released after phone verification? Really hoping to see movement this week on my transcripts.

Return verification calls typically process within 9 weeks, but disaster area claims are being expedited right now. Make sure you check your transcript daily - you should see code 971 followed by 290 when it's processed. The verification department is really backed up this year but disaster areas are getting priority treatment.
