IRS keeps saying refund check was mailed but never received - 3rd time waiting 30 days
This is getting ridiculous. Third time dealing with a missing refund check. Each time they tell me to wait 30 days after the mail date. Called IRS and they just keep saying it was sent out but nothing ever shows up in my mailbox. Already verified my address is correct multiple times. Anyone else dealing with this nonsense?

This is a common issue right now. You need to file Form 3911 (Taxpayer Statement Regarding Refund) to trace your missing refund check. Once filed, it typically takes 6-8 weeks for them to investigate. Make sure to verify your current mailing address matches whats on your return exactly.

•You can download it from IRS.gov or call them to mail you one. Unfortunately, no online filing for this form yet 🙄

This is actually a common issue right now. The IRS is required to reissue checks after 30 days of non-receipt, but you need to call them and specifically request a payment trace. They can also switch you to direct deposit for the reissue to avoid mail issues. Make sure you're speaking with an account management representative, not just the general helpline.

Have you tried using taxr.ai? It's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's going on with your refund. It costs $1 but totally worth it - shows you all payment traces, tells you if there are any holds, and gives specific next steps. Check it out: https://taxr.ai

Consider switching to direct deposit for future refunds. Haven't had an issue since I made the switch.

Ugh this is so frustrating! I'm dealing with the exact same thing right now - been waiting 2 months for my refund check that supposedly got "mailed" twice already. The IRS customer service is absolutely useless, they just keep giving me the runaround. At this point I'm convinced they're just hoping we'll give up and forget about our money 🙄 Have you tried filing a complaint with the Treasury Inspector General? Might be worth a shot since the normal channels aren't working.
