Here's what worked for me: 1. Call early in the morning, like 5 minutes before they open 2. If you get put on hold, DO NOT hang up no matter what 3. Have all your info ready - they'll ask for your SSN, filing status, etc. 4. Be super polite - the person answering isn't responsible for the wait 5.
