IRS Refund on Hold for 2 Months - No Answers, What to Do?
I submitted all my documents for my tax refund almost 2 months ago, but it's still on hold. I've been trying to get answers from the IRS, but no luck. Anyone else dealing with this? Any ideas on how to speed up the process or at least find out what's going on?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting for my refund for 3 months now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried checking the 'Where's My Refund' tool on the IRS website? Sometimes it gives more info.

β’Yeah, I check it every day π© It just says 'Your refund is still being processed.' So helpful, right? π

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 2 months is nothing. I've been waiting for 6 months now. The IRS is seriously backed up. Best advice? Forget about it and be pleasantly surprised when it finally shows up.

β’Same boat here. 5 months and counting. It's like the IRS is playing hide and seek with our money ππΈ

Hey guys, I actually found a way to get through to a real person at the IRS. There's this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Jc9x-gysK0

β’I get the skepticism, but it's legit. Saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with the IRS for years: 1. Be patient. The IRS is chronically understaffed and overworked. 2. Double-check all your documents. One small error can hold up everything. 3. If you received any letters, respond ASAP. Don't ignore them. 4. Keep calling. It's a pain, but persistence pays off. 5. Consider contacting your local Taxpayer Advocate Service. They can sometimes help move things along. 6. If all else fails, reach out to your congressional representative. They have liaisons who can inquire on your behalf. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but your refund will come eventually.

Serious question: has anyone tried showing up at an IRS office in person? Wonder if that would help or just be a waste of time.

β’Most offices require appointments now. And good luck getting one of those!
