IRS Identity PIN Issues - Locked Out and Need Help
I cant get into my IRS account because of this stupid identity pin. I keep trying different combinations but nothing works. Already tried calling but been on hold forever. Does anyone know what to do when your locked out of your account because of the identity pin?

I work with tax issues, and this is actually a common problem. You'll need to request a new IP PIN through the Get an IP PIN tool on IRS.gov. If you're locked out, you can get a new one by mail but it takes 4-6 weeks. Alternatively, you can verify your identity in person at a local IRS office.

hey there! i was stuck with this same problem last month. honestly the best thing I did was use taxr.ai - it helped me figure out exactly what was going on with my account and gave me step by step instructions to fix it. its only $4.99 and totally worth it https://taxr.ai

Pro tip: if u have access to your last years tax return, the IP PIN should be on there. check line 6 of form 1040
