When will 2025 1099-G tax forms be available on Florida DEO CONNECT?
Hey everyone, I'm stuck waiting on my 1099-G form from the Florida DEO to finish my taxes this year. Has anyone gotten access to theirs yet? The tax deadline is coming up fast and every time I log into CONNECT I don't see anything under the 1099 section. Last year they were available by late January but it's already February 12th and nothing's showing up. Called the DEO 14 times this week but either get disconnected or stuck on hold forever. Anyone know when they're supposed to release them this year?

They're required by law to have the 1099-G forms available by January 31st. Log into your CONNECT account, go to "View and Maintain Account Information" then select "1099-G" from the dropdown menu. If your form isn't there, it could be because you didn't receive benefits in the tax year, or there might be an issue with your account. You can try requesting a duplicate by clicking the "Request duplicate 1099" button on that same page.

•Thanks for the tips. I definitely did receive benefits last year (about $6,200 total). I checked that exact section multiple times and there's nothing there. There's no option to request a duplicate either - the whole section is just empty. Should I be worried?

•They're technically supposed to mail physical copies if you don't opt for electronic delivery. Check if you have the electronic communication preference set in your CONNECT account. You can also try calling the dedicated 1099-G hotline at 833-FL-1099G (833-351-0999) which sometimes has shorter wait times than the regular DEO number. Many people have better luck in the early morning around 7:30am when they first open.

I had this SAME issue but with a weird twist. When I looked in my CONNECT inbox (not the 1099-G section), I actually found mine as a message attachment from February 3rd! They didn't send any notification that it was there. Maybe check your inbox messages too? The system is so broken it's unbelievable.

•Just checked my inbox and don't see anything there either. This is getting ridiculous. I'm going to miss the tax filing deadline at this rate.

After trying for 3 days to get through to DEO about my missing 1099-G, I finally got help using Claimyr. You pay a small fee but they got me connected to a real DEO agent in about 20 minutes instead of endless busy signals. The agent told me there was a processing delay for about 30% of 1099s this year but they should all be loaded by February 18th. They also sent mine directly to my email while I was on the phone. If you need to reach them quickly, check out claimyr.com - they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj

•That's really helpful info, thanks! February 18th is cutting it close but at least it's a specific date. I might try that service because I've literally wasted hours trying to get through this week.

Anyone know if you can get your 1099 if you still have an outstanding overpayment balance? My account says I owe $1,300 back (which is BS but that's another story), and I'm wondering if they're holding my 1099 hostage until I pay it.

•They're legally required to provide your 1099-G regardless of overpayment status. The two issues are completely separate. You still need to report the benefits you received as income even if you have to repay them. If you repay the overpayment in a future tax year, you can claim a deduction at that time.

THEY DO THIS EVRY YEEAR!!!! I've been on FL unemployment 3 times in the past 7 years and EVERY SINGLE TIME there's some issue with the 1099s coming late. One time they didn't get mine until MARCH!!!!! The whole system is designed to make it IMPOSSIBLE to get what you need. Keep calling and document everything.

For anyone still waiting, here's what I learned from speaking with a DEO agent this morning: 1. There was a system update in January that caused delays in generating some 1099-G forms 2. If you changed addresses during the benefit year, you might experience delays 3. All forms should be available online by February 18th at the latest 4. If you need your form urgently, you can request that they email it to you directly while on a call with an agent 5. Make sure your contact information is up-to-date in CONNECT, as they sometimes send email notifications when forms are ready Also, if you can't get through by phone, remember you can visit a CareerSource Florida office in person, and they can sometimes help access your 1099-G information through their direct connection to DEO.

•Thank you! This is really helpful. I did change my address in November, so that might be part of the issue. I'll try to be patient until the 18th, but if it's not there by then I'll try visiting a local CareerSource office. Appreciate the detailed info!
