DEO payments on hold since Nov, still in adjudication. No explanation given. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated. My unemployment payments have been on hold since November last year and I'm still seeing a message saying it's in adjudication. I've received some letters from the unemployment office but they don't explain why this is happening. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get this resolved?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was stuck in adjudication for months too. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•I've tried calling so many times, but I can never get through. It's like they don't want us to reach them 🙄

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I mean like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can get through that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/AsdxiF0IH1k

•$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so broken 😤

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•Can you give more details about how it works? I'm desperate but also cautious.

•Sure! You go to their website, choose the department you need to call, pay the fee, and they start calling. When they get a real person, your phone rings and you're connected. It's that simple.

Have you checked your online account for any updates or messages? Sometimes they post important info there that doesn't come in the mail.

This is why I hate the unemployment system. It's like they want us to give up and just go broke. Hang in there, OP!

Okay, I've been through this rodeo before. Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, letters, and attempts to contact them. 2. Check your online account daily for updates. 3. If you haven't already, file an appeal. Even if you're not sure what you're appealing, it can sometimes kickstart the process. 4. Contact your local state representative or senator. They often have staff dedicated to helping with unemployment issues. 5. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 6. If all else fails, consider seeking legal aid. Some nonprofits offer free help with unemployment issues. Remember, you're entitled to these benefits. Don't let the system wear you down!

Have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds ancient, but sometimes it works when nothing else does.

I'm in the same boat, payments on hold since December. This sucks so much. Hope you get it sorted soon, OP.

Anyone else notice how these issues always seem to happen right when you need the money most? It's like they have a sixth sense for inconvenience 🙄
