CONNECT address verification error - can't register with new DEO website

I'm at my wits' end trying to register with the new DEO CONNECT website. The system keeps showing my address with one digit off in the house number (shows 1455 instead of 1456) and I can't get past the verification screen. Every time I try to correct it, I get an error saying 'Information does not match our records' and kicks me back to the beginning. Called the helpline about 25 times today - always busy or disconnects. Has anyone figured out a workaround for the address verification issues? This is so frustrating because I can't even file my initial claim until I get registered!

Did you ever get it fixed? I'm worried about missing my filing deadline if I can't get registered soon.

The DEO system is a COMPLETE JOKE. They expect us to verify info but THEIR info is wrong?? Then they make it IMPOSSIBLE to talk to anyone. I had to wait THREE WEEKS with a similar issue before I finally got through to a rep who could override the system. By then I'd already missed two weeks of benefits I'll never get back. The whole system is DESIGNED to frustrate people so they give up.

I had this exact problem. Try this: in the verification screen, use the address EXACTLY as they have it (wrong digit and all). Then after you get in, go to the Profile section and submit an address correction through there. It's counterintuitive, but the system needs you to verify what's in their database first, then you can fix it. Good luck!

Thank you so much! This actually worked! I had to use their wrong address to get in, then submitted the correction afterward. So weird that they make us verify incorrect information first. Really appreciate the help!

I spent a week trying to fix mine, the DEO had my street name spelled wrong. Is anyone else dealing with issues where it keeps logging you out right after you log in? The new system seems really buggy.

Yes! It keeps logging me out too. I found that using Chrome in incognito mode helped stop that from happening. Something about the cookies or cache causing problems.

If you're still having trouble getting through to DEO on the phone, I used a service called Claimyr that got me connected to a live agent in about 20 minutes when I had a similar verification issue. I was skeptical at first but it actually worked - saved me days of constant redialing. You can see how it works at https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj and their website is claimyr.com. The agent I got was able to manually verify my identity and override the address verification error.

It did for me. I was in the same boat - calling endlessly with no luck. I got through to a real person who could actually help with my verification issues. Definitely better than spending days hitting redial.

Here's what I've learned from helping several people with the new CONNECT registration issues:\n\n1. The verification screen is pulling data from multiple government databases, not just DEO records\n2. If your address recently changed (within 6 months), try your previous address\n3. For people with address errors, use the exact format they have, including errors, to get past verification\n4. After registration, submit a correction request through your profile settings\n5. If you're still locked out after 3 attempts, you'll need to wait 24 hours before trying again\n\nThe system is frustrating but once you're in, the new interface is actually much better than the old one for managing claims and work search activities.

This is super helpful information! I got in using the 'wrong' address trick someone suggested above. The most frustrating part was just not knowing what to do. Thank you for taking the time to explain all this!

TYPICAL DEO nonsense. The password reset emails go to your spam folder half the time, and the other half they just never arrive. I swear they're trying to make this as difficult as possible.

Update for everyone having these issues: DEO just released a statement acknowledging the address verification problems in the new system. They're working on a fix that should be implemented within the next 2 weeks. In the meantime, they recommend: 1) Try using the address exactly as the system shows it (even if incorrect), 2) Contact the direct support email at CONNECT.Support@deo.myflorida.com with subject line 'Verification Error', or 3) Visit a CareerSource center for in-person registration assistance.

Thanks for sharing this update! Good to know they're at least acknowledging the problem. I managed to get registered using the 'wrong address' method suggested earlier, but I'll pass this info along to my friend who's having similar issues.
