Tips for getting my refund faster? Stuck in limbo and need advice

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get my refund and I'm not sure what to do. I've been waiting for a while now and I'm getting worried. Has anyone had any luck getting their refund recently? Any tips on what I should ask when I finally get through to someone?

Ugh, refunds are such a pain rn. I've been waiting for mine for like 2 months 🙄 When you talk to them, def ask for a specific timeframe. Don't let them give you some vague answer!

2 months? Amateur hour 😂 I've been waiting since LAST YEAR. This system is so broken

Seriously? That's insane! Have you tried calling them every day? I heard that helps sometimes

Yep, called em so much I think we're on a first-name basis now 🙃 Still nada

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/XbqD8mexcoQ

Sounds sketchy af. You sure this isn't a scam?

Nah, it's legit. I was skeptical too but it actually worked for me. Got through in like an hour instead of waiting all day

How does it work exactly? Do they just keep calling until someone picks up?

Pretty much. They have some tech that navigates the phone tree and waits on hold. When a real person answers, it calls you. Saved me a ton of time

Here's what worked for me: 1. Call first thing in the morning, like right when they open 2. Have all your info ready - account numbers, dates, etc. 3. Be super nice to the rep, even if you're frustrated 4. Ask for a specific timeframe and get it in writing if possible 5. If they can't help, politely ask to speak to a supervisor Hope this helps! Good luck getting your refund 👍

lol good luck. i've given up on ever seeing my refund. probably gonna use it to bail out another bank or something 🙄

Mood 😂 Maybe we should start our own bank with all these missing refunds

Has anyone tried contacting their local representative? I've heard that can sometimes speed things up.

I did! My rep's office was actually super helpful. They can't work miracles, but they did light a fire under the agency's butt

Whats the best way to contact them? Email? Phone?

I had luck with email, but include your phone # too. They usually have a form on their website for constituent services

Pro tip: keep a log of every interaction. Date, time, who you talked to, what they said. It'll help if you need to escalate later.

Thats a great idea, thanks! I'll start doing that right away
