Need help reopening EDD claim - can't get through on phone!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they're purposely making it impossible to talk to a real person. 🤬

Have you tried faxing your request? I know it sounds old school, but I've heard some people have had success that way.

I'm in the same boat. its so frustrating that they make it this difficult. Don't they realize were calling because we NEED the money?

Pro tip: if you get through to someone but they say they can't help, ask to speak to a tier 2 specialist. Sometimes the first person you talk to doesn't have the authority to reopen claims.

Anyone else notice that the system seems to be down every other day? I swear they're doing it on purpose to reduce the number of claims...

Has anyone tried going to the unemployment office in person? I'm thinking of camping out overnight if that's what it takes.
