How to upload proof of income for PFL application on EDD website?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to process my paid family leave application and I'm feeling a bit lost. I need to make sure I have everything ready to go and get this application submitted ASAP. Anyone have experience with this? I'm particularly confused about how to send proof of income. Where exactly do I upload these documents? Any help would be appreciated!

I just went through this process last month! Here's what you need to do: • Log into your EDD account • Look for a section called "Upload Documents" or something similar • There should be prompts to guide you through uploading your proof of income Make sure you have all your documents ready before you start. You'll need things like pay stubs, W-2 forms, or tax returns. Don't forget the medical certification too! Let me know if you need any more help. The process can be a bit confusing, but you've got this! šŸ’Ŗ

Thank you so much! This is really helpful. Do you remember how long it took for them to process your application after you uploaded everything?

No problem! For me, it took about 2 weeks from when I submitted everything to when I got approved. But I've heard it can vary. Some people get it faster, some slower. Just make sure all your docs are in order to avoid delays!

2 weeks?! You're lucky. I've been waiting for over a month now. 😩 The system is so backed up.

Oof, sorry to hear that. Yeah, I guess I got lucky with the timing. Hang in there!

For real! It's like they designed it to be as confusing as possible. šŸ™„

Honestly, I think it's intentional. Make it hard enough and people will just give up. šŸ¤”

You might be onto something there. Wouldn't put it past them tbh

Quick tip: take screenshots of EVERYTHING you submit. I didn't do this and they claimed they never received some of my documents. Had to resubmit and it delayed my whole application. Learn from my mistake!

Has anyone else had issues with the site crashing when trying to upload documents? I've tried like 5 times now and it keeps timing out. So frustrating!

Try using a different browser. The site hates Chrome for some reason, but it worked fine for me on Firefox.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of hold time.

How long did you have to wait before they connected you?

It took about 45 minutes, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was on the line.

Anyone else feel like they're drowning in paperwork? I swear I've filled out the same form like 3 different times now. šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

Pro tip: if you're having trouble uploading docs on the website, try reducing the file size. I had to compress my PDFs before the system would accept them.

Does anyone know if there's a way to check the status of your application after you've submitted everything? I'm tired of being in the dark.

You can try logging into your EDD account and looking for a status update there. But in my experience, it's not always accurate. šŸ™ƒ

Ugh, figures. Thanks anyway!
