How to apply for remaining PFL balance with EDD? Need help ASAP!
Hey everyone, I'm trying to apply for the rest of my family leave. Has anyone gone through this process recently? I'm not sure where to start or what I need to do. Any advice would be really appreciated!

I just went through this last month! It's actually not too bad once you know what you're doing. Here's what I did: 1. Log into your EDD account 2. Look for the 'Manage Existing Claim' option 3. Select 'Apply for Additional Benefits' 4. Fill out the form with your remaining leave details 5. Submit and wait for approval Make sure you have all your docs ready - they might ask for proof of ongoing need for leave. Good luck!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone at EDD. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. make sure u have all ur paperwork in order before applying. they rejected my first attempt cuz i was missing some stuff 🤦♂️

They wanted updated medical certification and proof that my employer approved the extended leave. Double check everything!

pro tip: if ur having trouble with the online system, try using a different browser. sometimes it acts up in chrome but works fine in firefox 👍
