Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep calling first thing in the morning, right when they open. That's your best shot at getting through. 2. If you get a machine, hang up and redial immediately. 3. Try calling on different days of the week. Some days are busier than others. 4. Be prepared with all your info when you do get through. They might ask for your SSN, claim number, and employment history. 5. If all else fails, try reaching out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help push things through. I had this exact same issue last month. Turns out there was a glitch in their system that was causing a bunch of claims to need "reopening" even though they were active. When I finally got through, the rep fixed it in like 2 minutes. Such a waste of time and stress.
