New York Unemployment keeps disconnecting calls even at 8am opening time

same here been trying for 2 weeks straight. The system is completely broken, either get hung up on or that stupid automated message saying call volume to high try again later smh

Pro tip: try calling at exactly 8:01am, not 8:00am. The system updates at 8 and everyone calls then, causing crashes. That one minute makes a difference sometimes

Ugh I feel this so hard! Been dealing with the same nightmare for weeks. What finally worked for me was calling the Spanish line (888-209-8124) even though I speak English - they transfer you to English speakers but the wait times are way shorter. Also try calling right at 4:55pm before they close, sometimes less busy then. The whole system is a joke but hang in there!
